Application Development
Systems and network programming is our forte. Whether it's glue code ("middleware") or full-fledged database-backed applications, we excel at it.
Hawk (our first product to come to market) is an example of the kinds of projects we can handle. Other projects are in the works, such as a programmable router appliance, enterprise WiFi access points and a few other projects still in the R&D phase.
Aside from our in-house projects, we also design custom applications for our clients. We don't do one-size-fits-all software, but tailor our work to the needs of the customer.
A Word About AI
All of the tech industry is falling over themselves, hyping and rushing to incorporate AI into their products. There's even talk of the AI bubble being ready to burst.
As an old-school engineer/developer, I reject AI and all that it claims to offer. Tech blogs tell the sad stories of AI hallucinating code libraries (modules, DLLs, etc.), leading many inexperienced developers to trust the code slop AI generates, to their and their customers' misfortune and eventual heartbreak when the Bad Guys break in to the servers or apps the programmer supposedly "wrote". At FlockBox, we write code and design systems the hard way, line by line, no AI accepted, drawing instead upon our decades of skill and experience.
